Yes it "rocks" however when you are in a rush and can't wait to compile large programs it can be a drag. The binary distributions do not suite the "philosophy" of the distro and are not available for everything. <br /> <br />Emerge is great, the configuration file management upon upgrading is great I’ve been running Gentoo Linux for about 6 months.
